Founded by the visionary artist Lyn Sterling Montagne in 1982 in Atlanta, Georgia, Montagne Handwoven Rugs is now a second-generation company that continues to uphold the tradition of crafting exquisite handwoven rugs. 

 

Lyn’s artistic sensibilities and dedication to preserving the art of rug weaving has been seamlessly passed down to her son, Michael Montagne, who now leads the company.

 

Montagne Handwoven is now headquartered in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina where Michael and his family enjoy kayaking, exploring and life in the rich natural world of Appalachia.
